Our trauma team has the experience and cutting edge resources to treat a variety of trauma cases – from common injuries to the most complex cases. With a full complement of specialist physicians we have the resources and capability to develop a tailored and comprehensive care plan for our patients.

Arthritis caused by fracture
Leg length discrepancy

Our highly skilled physicians are trained to provide high-level, expert care to adults with acute injuries or conditions. Our physicians provide both surgical and non-surgical treatment options depending on your individual needs. While conservative treatments are available, surgery may be required for more severe situations.

Our pediatric orthopedic trauma team includes surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses and anesthesiologists to provide the highest quality care for children. It is important to understand that because children heal differently than adults, fractures and other musculoskeletal injuries they may suffer from require specialized treatment. If a child were to injure a growth plate, for instance, it could potentially result in long-term problems. With a full array of specialists, we are not only able to address urgent treatment of pediatric orthopedic injuries, but continue to provide comprehensive rehabilitative care to a child through the course of their injury.

Our specialized services include:

Expert on-site radiology and diagnostic services, including X-rays, CT scans, bone scans, MRIs and low-dose EOS imaging.
An on-site cast room and a staff of orthopedic technicians experienced in working with injured children
Physical therapy and rehabilitative services with specialty rehab programs developed specifically for children.

COVID - 19An update from our office
Dear Traverse City Orthopedic patients,

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, we are taking necessary precautions to do our part to prevent the spread of this illness by limiting our patient appointments over the next several weeks. If you currently have an appointment scheduled that is not of urgent nature, you will be contacted by our office staff.

We are mandated to perform pre-screening of any patient that presents to our office & you may be asked to reschedule based on the results.

To limit the number of people in our office at one time, we ask that anyone coming with you to your appointment remain in the vehicle unless you need assistance getting inside. We may also request that you complete your paperwork in your vehicle to keep with social distancing standards.

Furthermore, we are unable to board elective surgical cases until further notice is given to us by our local hospital & outpatient facilities.

We will be diligent in doing our part to abide by CDC guidelines and just want to remind everyone that hand washing, personal hygiene & social distancing are the best defense right now as we continue to learn more.

We will be limiting staff but will have systems in place to have your questions answered regarding your care.

Thank you for your understanding.
